The article explores the problem of organizing short-term parking and traffic restrictions near educational institutions. Russian and foreign practices are analyzed, including the systems "Kiss and Ride" (drop-off zones), "Heart Zone" (protected zones with speed limits) and "School Streets" (temporary pedestrian zones). Highlighted key problems: threats to children's safety, traffic jams, environmental damage and the decline of transport culture. In Russia, the situation is complicated by the growth of automobiles, lack of parking spaces, and contradictions in the regulatory framework. Comparative analysis of foreign solutions showed their effectiveness in reducing accidents and improving ecology. For adaptation to the Russian Federation, updating of normative documents, introduction of specialized signs and consideration of behavioral factors are necessary. The article emphasizes the importance of a complex approach combining infrastructural, organizational and educational measures.
