  • Investigation of thermal conditions at an experimental fuel oil heating plant with a pulsed coolant flow

The article is devoted to modeling heating of fuel oil using a pulsed fluid flow in the SolidWorks Flow Simulation software module. In the future, the use of this technological solution can be considered by a number of industries in the Russian Federation and abroad. The purpose of this article is to describe the results of a computer model of the technological process under study. The computer calculation of the fuel oil heating model using a pulse flow makes it possible to evaluate the efficiency of the process and determine the optimal parameters to achieve maximum efficiency. This will help to reduce the cost of heating fuel oil and increase the efficiency of industrial equipment of enterprises.

  • Applications of modern polymer pipelines for hot water supply networks

The article presents a feasibility study of the use of the izoproflex-115A pipeline based on thermal and hydraulic calculations of existing thermal networks in Saransk. When modeling two variants (pipe networks made of steel in polyurethane foam insulation and polymer pipelines "izoproflex-115") of pipelines, the same technique was used. Analysis of the calculation results of the longest section of the heat network showed that ISOPROFLEX pipes, on average, have a three-fold capacity reserve in relation to a steel pipe. The use of modern izoproflex-115A pipeline systems will ensure high-quality and uninterrupted heat supply to consumers, increase energy security and energy efficiency, reduce the accident rate of heat supply systems and improve the financial performance of heat supply organizations.

  • Increasing the intensification of heat transfer in shell-and-tube heat exchangers

The paper studies the problems of heat transfer intensification in shell-and-tube heat exchangers used in the heat supply of buildings. The solution to this problem is to use the circulation of the coolant flow in a pulsed mode, with different frequency pulsations. Based on experimental studies to determine the efficiency of a shell-and-tube water-to-water heat exchanger, a method has been proposed, in accordance with which it has been proved that the pulsed mode, compared to the stationary one, is the most effective in terms of key indicators, such as the heat transfer coefficient and thermal power.

  • Investigation of thermal conditions in the building of the Accreditation Center

The article studies the thermal conditions in the heating system of a two-storey building of the laboratory building of the Medical Institute. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data obtained from thermograms of heating devices. The study of thermal conditions in a two-pipe heating system is carried out, the actual and estimated power of each heating device is determined, as well as the temperature inside the premises.

  • Methodology for estimating energy costs for heating infiltrating outdoor air

The article is devoted to the study of heat losses when heating infiltrating air entering through existing leaks, cracks in doorways of walls, gates, and window bindings. Various methods for determining heat loss through enclosing structures are considered. As a result of the thermal imaging study, a method for determining the heat losses for heating the infiltrating air through existing leaks is proposed.
