  • Microwave transistor power amplifier

    An experimental study of the power amplifier in the frequency range 0.1-1 GHz. The amplitude and amplitude-frequency characteristics of the amplifier are obtained. The dependence of the second harmonic level of the useful signal on the input power is removed. It is shown that in the operating frequency range the gain is not less than 25 dB, and the upper limit of the linearity of the amplitude characteristic of the output is not less than 1 mW

  • Simulation and experimental study of the in-phase ring power splitter

    A simulation and experimental study of the ring-shaped power divider in the frequency range 2-4 GHz. The simulation was carried out in the application package Microwave Office. The experiment was conducted on a model made on the sheet textolite PT-3 with a thickness of 2 mm. Four frequency dependencies of the transmission coefficient S21 and S31 are given as simulation and experiment results.

  • Frequency Modulated Signal Generator

    An experimental study of a transistor generator with varicap rearrangement has been carried out. A schematic diagram is given, a brief description of the construction and an experimental technique are given. As the results of the experiment are given: • frequency dependence on control voltage (modulation characteristic) • dependence of power on control voltage (parasitic amplitude modulation) • output spectrum in the 500 MHz band

  • Experimental research of the intermediate frequency amplifier

    An experimental study of the intermediate frequency amplifier with a bandwidth of 25 to 155 MHz and a gain of about 40 dB was conducted. Given the functional diagram and one cascade of the concept. There is a brief description of the design. The experimental technique is described. The results of the experiment are given: two amplitude-frequency characteristics and one amplitude.

  • Modelling and experimental research of duplexer for a decimeter radio station

    There are represented scheme and design of duplexer for the 300-344 MHz radio station. Simulation of duplexer was implemented in Microwave Office environment. Experimental research was executed on the complex transmission coefficient measuring instrument such as “Obzor-103”. There are shown amplitude-frecuency characteristic of receive and transmission channels. Comparison of the simulations results with natural experiment proving the identical.

  • Modelling and experimental research of narrow band filter on opposing rods

    Modelling and experimental research of narrow band filter on opposing rods was made. Center frequency is 1010 MHz. In the far zone the filter has blocking more than 100 dB. The pass band width on the Level minus 3 dB from the maximum is 13 MHz, and losses in the pass band are 8 dB.

  • Two low-noise amplifiers

    An experimental investigation of two low-noise amplifiers is carried out. The first amplifier contains one cascade on the HMC374 chip, the second LNA contains two cascades on the same chip. Amplitude and amplitude-frequency characteristics of both amplifiers are obtained, a comparison with the passport characteristics is made. The amplifiers correspond to the passport data for all parameters, except saturation power at the upper boundary frequency.

  • UHF amplifier

    An experimental study of two instances of low-noise amplifiers of the range 1.5-2.0 GHz is carried out. The following results were obtained: the amplification gain varies from 24 to 37 dB in the frequency range; the maximum output power was not less than 10 mW (10 dBm); the compression point of 1 dB is achieved with an input power of minus 16 dBm. To illustrate the measurement results, two amplitude-frequency characteristics and an amplitude characteristic of the second specimen are given. The main element of the studied amplifier is a chip of the type MAAL-007304.

  • Broadband attenuator with electronic control

    In article a modelling and experimental survey of the controlled attenuator in a frequency range 2 - 4 GHz is performed. It is received the minimum attenuation no more than 3.5 dB, the maximum attenuation not less than 56 dB at a current 3.8 mA. The amplitude-frequency characteristic unevenness at a current 3.8 mA does not exceed 3 dB. The attenuator design is made in the form of the hybrid module. The attenuator is intended for adjustment of transfer constant of the microwave receiver.

  • The frequency divider for 32

    The frequency divider for 32, operating in a range of frequencies 8-18 GHz is considered. The specifics of the schematic diagram is shown. The design and element base is described in short. The model is made and its experimental research is carried out. The technique and the block diagram of the experiment is described. Level of harmonics of an output signal is measured. For decrease of level of harmonics of the useful signal the low-pass filter of type SALF-580 is used. Presence of a parasitic output signal in the absence of an input signal is revelead.

  • Serial detectors microwave(review).

    The review of serial microwave detectors of domestic and foreign manufacturers for the frequency range of 0.1-220 GHz is presented. It is reviewed more than 60 models of microwave detectors. Brief information about their characteristics is given. The article can be useful for engineers when designing the receiving and measuring apparatus.

  • Parallel coupled resonator filters

    Modelling and experimental research of filter onhalf-wave resonators with quarter-wavelength links was made. The following experimental result were received: - center frequency was 3.7 GHz; - passband width was 230 MHz; - losses in the passband were not more than 4 dB; - bkocking at tuning ± 200 MHz was not less than 40 dB. It is recommended to use the filter in a microwave receiver input circuit.

  • Limiting properties of serial low-noise amplifiers

    The experimental research of amplitude characteristics of low-noise amplifiers of microwave range of АС180400-071 type of Joint-Stock Company "SKARD-ELEKTRONIKS" manufacture was made. It is shown, that power of saturation can vary from 34 to 75 mW at input power 10 mW. On a number of frequencies monotony of the amplitude characteristic is not provided.

  • Simulation and experimental study of the filter on quarter-wave resonators.

    The article deals with the calcalation, simulation and experimental study of the filter on quater-wave resonators of the range 2 - 4 GHz. The resulting losses in the pass band are of about 1 dB and stop band on the second harmonic is 50 dB. The good coincidence between the simulation results and experiment is shown.

  • Frequency divider of a centimetric range

    The frequency divider for 8, operating in a range of input frequencies 8-18 GHz is considered. The function diagram is shown. The design and element base is described in short. The model and its experimental research is made. The technique and the block diagram of the experiment is described. Frequency dependence of transmission coefficient is measured. It is shown, that the frequency divider together with the two-cascade limiting amplifier has sensitivity minus 75 dBW, transmission coefficient is about 40 dB and nonuniformity of transmission coefficient is 1.64 dB. Level of the second and third harmonic of output signal is measured.
