  • Main methods used in the design of earthquake-resistant objects

The traditional approach to designing seismic resistant buildings is to provide the building with strength, rigidity and inelastic deformation capacity. modern methods of protection, in contrast, are not to strengthen the building, but in its ability to relax forces and stresses. There are three main methods used in the design of earthquake-resistant objects. 1. The use of seismic insulating basement. This system provides isolation only in the horizontal direction and is rigid or semi-rigid in the vertical direction. 2. The use of devices that dissipate the energy of an earthquake. In the building, seismic dampers are installed, which reduce the magnitude of vibrations, turning the kinetic energy of the vibrations into thermal energy. 3. Installation of active seismic resistance monitoring systems (active method). Such an active feedback control system contains three main elements: a. Sensors for measuring external excitation; b. Computer hardware and software; c. Drives to provide the necessary control forces. At present, the most popular is the hybrid method of semi-active control, which combines the advantages of a seismoisolating basement with passive shock absorbers, which is much more economical in comparison with the active method.

  • The principles of formation of parametric architecture objects

The principles of parametric modeling and design based on the example of a buildings is studied, the architectural image of whiches are a set of spiral circular surface with circles of variable radius defined by coordinates through functions of the corresponding surfaces in the SAPPHIRE software. Alternative methods for specifying surfaces in the SAPPHIRE PC with subsequent export to the LIRA PC for engineering calculations of the frame of the building for various combinations of loads by the finite element method are presented. The object of the study is a 130-meter-high building with a hardness core in the form of a cylindrical shell of revolution. One of the most universal ways to create a surface is to specify it through a formula, because you can easily change the shape and appearance of the surface without manually editing the geometry of the model in the drawing. The development of the parametric architecture calls for the creation of new approaches to the calculation of unique buildings and structures, the improvement of software complexes that implement the finite element method, and the appearance of new varieties of finite elements with curvilinear boundaries.

  • The use of unmanned aerial vehicles when establishing zones with a mode of use and their current control

The legal status of water bodies implies special measures aimed at preserving and preventing negative processes within the boundaries of a water body. A zone with a special mode of use is the territory, within the boundaries of which the mode of using the object for the purpose of protection and (or) to protect the environment is established. In modern geodesy, special satellites are used that are part of the global positioning system. The object is tied to the existing geodetic network, the identification marks are laid in a minimal amount, then aerial photography is performed and the photoplans are “stitched”. • The construction of the reference homes for radon studies of innovative material

The paper considers the feasibility of creating unique laboratories on the territory of radon anomalies. Today there is a need to create unique regional radon laboratories, where the existing buildings themselves will be an emanation environment (camera), inside which it is possible to conduct a wide range of studies. The construction and rapid reconstruction of such laboratories with the use of innovative materials can be more effective in comparison with traditional construction practices. As a building material is proposed to use a wooden building block for the construction of low-rise buildings. Buildings and structures of this unit are quickly erected without the use of specialized equipment. It is also easy to dismantle the building and transfer it to another location, which is necessary for radon studies. The article identifies two principal provisions. The first is the possibility and the need to create laboratory "reference" polygons on radon anomalies to study various technical, design or methodological solutions that can radically change the radon situation inside the model of a real building. It does not exclude the combination of functions of several laboratories in one. Second-the construction and reconstruction of such a "reference" structure can be more effective in terms of both labor costs and terms of work, in comparison with traditional construction practice.
